The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A representative for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was reached following an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.

The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Prolific Publishing History

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
