The former president's Family Member Seeks Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut

The young golfer can count on plenty of well-known cheerleaders as she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, someone who loves golf, owns multiple golf courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she stated.

She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply stay calm."

"My grandpa essentially told me to compete and have fun," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."

As an amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events recently and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

However she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.

"He is the best player in the world," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He suggested me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials mentioned that her participation helps introduce the sport to different demographics, particularly reaching the next generation.

The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness company.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
