Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be irritant spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
